Biography

Ioana Albu is an associate professor with tenure at the Department of Political Sciences and Communication Sciences, University of Oradea, holding a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the “Babes-Bolyai” University of Cluj Napoca, having a degree in English Language and Literature from the “Babes-Bolyai” University of Cluj Napoca and a second degree in Political Science from the Faculty of Law, University of Oradea. She was department director of the Faculty of Political Sciences for two terms of office and a member of the Senate of the University of Oradea for two terms of office, as well as expert-evaluator ARACIS – Bucharest.

She attended numerous specialization courses in the country and abroad in specialized fields – English / Political Science-International Relations, organized by The British Council-Bucharest, The Diplomatic Academy – Vienna, Oxford University – Exeter College, Central European University Budapest, University Foundation of the Black Sea-Bucharest – Luxembourg Institute, also performing an internship at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Bucharest. She was a visiting professor at the University of Alicante, Spain for four years, teaching at the Master’s program English for Specific Purposes- Faculty of Philology, as well as at the West University of Timisoara, at the Master’s program-International Relations-European Studies.

She has carried out teaching and professional training mobility at the University of Perugia-Italy, University of Vilnius-Lithuania, University of Maia-Porto, Portugal, Malta – Paragon Europe traineeship in Management, University of the Highlands and Islands – Scotland. She is also a translator and interpreter, specialized in the fields of Political Science – Law – Economic Sciences, holding a certificate of translator from the Ministry of Culture – Bucharest and the Ministry of Justice – Bucharest, having numerous works and books translated in the above-mentioned fields.
